Mid-Autumn Festival

Happy Mid-Autumn Festival to everyone!!!
Got a gathering going on now, but caught a slight fever and resting at home, ditch the gang :p

Went home last night after work, caught in a chaotic traffic jam on the bridge, aparrently some TNB work going on the bridge, overlapping with rush hour for buka puasa, took 1 1/2 hrs to reach home, brought back parent some mooncakes. Took almost the same time to come to work this morning, sigh, dont really prefer driving over the bridge anymore.

Had a basketball dinner last Sunday, and I was totally under-dressed, with short and sandal, thought 3 tables basketball celebration dinner turn out to be 30-40 tables of 69th Jit Sin reunion dinner >_<

Still in the process settling b4u basketball matter. Stop exercise again, probably not feeling well since last week. Well, got to rest now. Till then.

My colleague's lunch today - Yang Gui Fei mee, dont play play

driving back home yesterday

Yummy dim sum on Sun

cyberchat

mike: I observed that structural design chipset team has very limited traveling opportunities.. heard that, a lot of members within that team is unhappy… any plan to improve this in near future..
manager: PDC structural design is the world class team and we are exporting our technology back to the U.S. We want to keep having the leadership so what that means is that we will continue sending engineers out for strategic technology development if it is required.

my comment: How about SENDING world class engineer out of company through re-deployment or resignation because of one thing – beh siok
Tell him that the ex-SD is now SNR eng d liao :p

Who is mike? Let me influence him, got potential…
May be got another thing for world class engineer to “go out” --- TxLAN
Really beh tahan with the world class thing, got world class bullshit supervisor, got world class sucker, got world class structure, can export these to US maybe.

rain

It rains occasionally recently, and sometimes when it rained, it would be very heavy. Some people dont really like rain, probably because of the troubles it caused for getting wet, or probably due to some other reasons... To me, I like rain, and will always do...
Life has been less stress after leaving intel, always has such feeling, which is a good sign. Today, after coming back from work, the sky starts to pour again, and I just took my time sitting near the balcony, watching the rain... it has been quite a while I didnt do so...
Why I like rain so much? May be I am a person who dont like hot weather. I always like the cool breeze of the rain, and the freshness that it gave after rain...
I like the sound of the rain, dampening the noisy traffic and machinery, giving out only singular sound... and the sound of the insect and birds after the rain...
I always feel that rain has a cleansing effect. I remember the time in uni, I just stood there on the green field, letting the rain pouring down on me...
I remember the time I playing basketball under the rain, playing and having fun like a child, because children always like to play with water...
I remember the time and feeling I sheltered behind my father/mother on motorcycle when it rained, when motorcycle is the only transport that we can afford that time... When I grew up, I started to ride alone, so as my parent...
I remember the time I ran outside my old house to pick up the clothes when it started to rain...
I just like raining...

story

I got this story from a radio station. It is a true story...

There is a statue somewhere in Britain, and the statue is a statue of a dog. It is neither a highly breed dog nor strong dog. It is just a normal stray canine that we always saw on the street. But every year, people around the neighborhood pay respect to the statue. Sooner, it has become a famous spot and attracted tourist with the story. So, what is so special about this dog?

There is no name for the dog, as far as I know from the story. It is said that there is this dog owner, an old man, who always bring the dog to a restaurant for meals. Whenever they came, the owner will always order a meal for himself and order some for the dog as well. The dog is very obedient, will always wait for his owner to start eat first, then he start. This has impressed the restaurant owner, and always give dog some bread without charge.

And there is one day, the dog came into the restaurant alone. Not knowing what happened, the restaurant owner still give the dog bread. Whenever the dog got the bread, it will bite it and went away from the restaurant. Such visit happened for the rest of the days, and the dog is getting thinner and thinner. Then the restaurant owner and the regular customers started to wonder why they havent seen the old man. So, there is one day, after giving the dog the bread, they followed the dog. They follow him until a cemetery, where his owner was burried. When the dog reaches there, it will sat down in front of the grave, barking and barking, and after a while, would lie down and started eating the bread. Everyone who seen that was touched. Some even pity with the dog getting thinner, would offer to harbour the dog, including the restaurant owner. But everytime they do so, the dog would not follow them and turn back to the grave. As time goes by, the dog still visited the restaurant for bread and went to the owners grave. Until one day, until after almost 14yrs, yes is 14yrs, the dog didnt showed up at the restaurant. The restaurant owner went to the grave, finding the dog died there. They were sad, but was glad thinking that the dog can now be with the owner again, for being so loyal and persistent. For that, they built a statue for the dog, and pay their respect every year since then.

Persistent, honoring a relationship/friendship and loyal, even a normal dog knows. But not many has it as a human nowadays. Some cant even make it for 14days, not to say 14yrs. The story is to remind us each and everyday.
