owe

Hi readers, how are you doing?

First and foremost, I would like to apologize for the lack of update recently. As you can see, my blog site is more or less like Jules one a while back, but Jules rebounded back recently after a major project Tape Out =)

Life has been really great after I met my other half. Guess I will skip the detail to avoid major 'discomfort' or 'lost of appetite' syndrom  =)

In short, I don't have to nag here anymore, because all those complains seem insignificant. Life priorities straighten and time seems not enough for many things. As for the great moments, I think I would like to be selfish a little and keep it in between two of us.

So, actually I have decided to bring "me?me...me!!!" to dormant mode, since I know I wont be able to update it that frequent anymore. To some of my loyal readers, am really sorry if I do offended you in anyway for such decision. I am truly sorry.

Dormant means that halt for the time being and not able to update it as frequent as daily anymore, but there's still a chance where once in a while, I can share some amazing stuff with you all =)

So, till then. Stay safe, stay handsome, stay beautiful =)

been a while

Halo everyone, it has been a while since I last regularly update my blog. Sorry about that.

For starter, above is a photo that I took a few days back, when I just reach home in the evening and walking towards the lift. Notice this "swoosh" cloud striking through the moon on the sky. Found that it is very interesting and a rare sight. Like it a lot =)

Recently, work started to pick up a little, since one project dateline is drawing near. But I still kept the work for 9-5. Therefore still fine =)

After work, spend lots of time with friends. It is great to have the companionship.

And as days goes by, Ah Beng & jlaw farewell is drawing near as well. A bit lost of what to do for them when they do leave. Farewell plan still doesn't really take shape and is considering keeping it simple or maybe a 1:1 farewell.

ex-company friends are extremely occupied with work, therefore, didnt really get to gather with them or have a meal with them. That has been a while already.

2 days back, I went back to ex-company and busy body a little with one of the annual sport event that they are having there. There was this ping pong competition between departments. I signed in as a visitor for "meeting" officially with Jules as escort "p

Taking a walk from the lobby until the cafeteria, notice there are some changes, physically or the feel or the atmosphere, yet still not a lot in certain way. There are still some familiar faces there, and there are also those who I am not so familiar with.

Well, what I want to say is, ex-company is still doing well, life there still goes on, with or without me. I must say that the visit there does really open me up a little, at least I do find major closure now for my hatred to my ex-manager as well as ex-company. I finally can lay down some of the burden and sigh relief. I decided to move on now. One thing for sure, ex-manger will still always be the person whom I hate the most in my whole life, but it has become insignificant. There are more things in life for me that are more important, now and future =) thanks to jules for signing me in =)

1st June is coming soon. That day will mark my 1st anniversary in my current company. Time flies, but my life is great and still improving =)

I am an avid blogger (not pro-blogger) nowadays when I can spare the time =)

I am also addicted to this fishing game online, and if i do get high score, like maybe around 15000-20000 pounds (which i still haven't but target and working hard to), I really want to win the invitation to a special event for "Made of Honor" early preview =)

Then there is this reno planning, shopping and chores that keep me occupied for a while too =)

I am also participating in a basketball tournament in Butterworth which require me travel there in an average of twice a week. So far the game going well, though I know that I am not performing as good as I used to be. But I enjoy the game and had a good exercise =)

There are many wedding dinners coming soon too =)

And there is this one thing that I will leave for other future post =)

It is just a random posting here. This is just a piece of recent me =) I hope you all are doing fine as well. Take care.

biohazard

I did something smart and stupid at the same time in the spring cleaning ordeal weeks back.

How? Let me explain.

My general contractor (whom is my friend as well) did remind me before to be careful when moving my old stuff to my new place, especially the risk of bringing along some "unwanted residents" as well.

These "unwanted residents" are not those creepy ghost kinda thing, but they are termites, geckos, spiders, cockroaches, ants etc. Insects to be exact. And you really don't want them to move in with you for sure.

So, smart smart me come out with a countermeasure. I bought myself 5 packets of mothballs, and put some in each and every boxes that I packed, as well as in each and every cupboard corners and corners in my room.

The end result, my room now is virtually insects free. But at the same time, it is human free as well, because the mothballs smell is so strong that you need to wear a mask to be in the room.

So, there you have it. My smart move has made my room a biohazard area, forcing me having to sleep in another room yesterday +_+

small talk:-
Just notice something wrong with my right knee while doing room cleaning last weekend. When I squat down for a while, my right knee got numb and become weak, making me barely can stand up again. I suspected the motorcycle accident got to do with this, only to realize it until yesterday. Guess I am gonna pay the regular chinese sensei a
visit again later *_*

~ May 2008 ~
I think this month is not really a good month.

1st May, I met with an accident. And last week, I got a nightmare (I think this count gua, because I seldom have nightmare one, hehe "p)

We also have this Typhoon Nargis in Myanmar, then we have this 8.0 Richter scale (revised) earthquake in Sichuan China, lots of life were lost in these 2 major tragedies.

Weather is very hot, and may people got sick recently too. And yesterday, a friend of mine had a very sad sad day. Bad news everywhere =(

Well, we still have 12 more days to go in the month of May. Hope that no more bad things anymore.

And in this very day of Wesak Day, I pray for WORLD PEACE =)

HAPPY WESAK DAY!

this is sad

Read a news report about the China earthquake yesterday, just realized that so many dead in that earthquake.

Not too long ago, Myanmar was hit by the typhoon nargis, and claimed even more lives, and many are still dying. Really a lot of disasters happening recently. This is sad.

Was Friday

Is a past tense thingy, so the post is called "Was Friday" =)

And last Friday, as some of you might already know, I attended the farewell dinner of 2 "ex-company" beautiful engineer friends at TGIF.

Talk about the food first, the food was really nice, but very very pricey too...

This glass of plain-ketchup-taste tomato juice cost a whopping RM5.90 without tax yet *_*

Shrimp Martini as appetizer. Tasted like the korean kimchi (which I like a lot), but not really suitable as appetizer. I think suitable as a dish =)

This main course is like a nasi goreng (fried rice) with a grilled white dory fish (actually is a whitefish, not sure whether they are the same or not) as topping, and some broccoli as green "p

MUD OF CHOCOLATE PIE!!! The moment I see it, I knew I had already fell in love, because I love chocolate. =)
The first few spoons tasted like heaven, "ada umph" =)

But the next few spoons, you tasted the chocolate and coffee bitterness already *_*

The following one, you felt the sugar rush d *___*
And all you can do was just keep on munching, trying to finish that plate chocolate, not a really good feeling indeed...

These are the 2 very creative farewell gifts, self-made by 2 of our very put-a-lot-of-effort friends. I love them very much too. Why I don't have one of these for my farewell "p (joking ya)

All the guys with the 2 "first lady" =)
Sadly, I don't have the photo of all the girls with the 2 "first lady" >_<

As some words of last,

FF & GM, change is a good thing (if the present doesn't do any good "p). Embrace it with hope, curiosity, bravery and wits, and eventually, it will get along with you and occasionally surprise yourself too =) All the best!!!

debt

Well, since a post last year about helping out some friends financially end of last year, my mindset now in this domain has changed dramatically.

My principal now is, I won't lend to friends money anymore, no matter how close we are.
The only exception is when I decided to donate instead of lending, and is for valid case that deem by me. That is all, and I think it is the best for now.

As for why, out of the 4 persons that I lend the money to before (those that I could remember), big sum or small sum, I only get one repayment, which is the same person that I talk about in that post. The rest, some are still in the process of "negotiating"... Some, I think I will just forget about the existence of that person...

Bad isn't it. Well, I felt despair sometimes when occasionally thought of them. Some seems like totally missing, or even if when you do see some of them, they tend to avoid the topic and assume that nothing really happened, and the saddest thing is that some were and are your really close friends or elder.

Specifically, one of the despair sometimes happened just a few days back. When I was cleaning up my email address book, a friend's name caught my eye, who I suddenly recalled that I did lend him some money many many years back. See, this kind of thing you wont really forget if you lend him/her money, unless you really decided to donate it out, because once you donate, case close with open heart.

For background, this friend is my secondary school friend, we were very very close. We loved basketball very much. I remembered he taught me basketball too when I first join the team, although he is younger than me. I remembered we watched Michael Jordan Chicago Team on VCR at his house before training sessions at the school in the evening (that was the 90s). Those time was great. But years after that, he didn't continue study and started working, and me started working too after graduating. At that time, my salary was still at entry level, and has a lot of liabilities, but I tried to fork out some to help, but since then, never brought up anymore.

So, with some emotional feelings, I wrote an email to this friend of mine asking about the debt, whom I didn't see for years, and don't really know whether the email address is still valid or not.

Date: Thu, 24 Apr 2008 09:18:08 -0700
From: xxx
Subject: remember the RM200
To: xxx

Hi xxx

Really long time no see. Remember the RM200 that you
borrowed from me years back? Still remember or
forgotten already?

In case you don't know, I still remember although it
is a small sum and it has been years back. Not that I
am really in need of money now, but just want to see
whether you remember or not. Because people keep on
borrowing money from me, and keep on "forgetting",
like the money is actually theirs and like I don't
have the right to claim it back. Just checking.

regards,

xxx

Yup, I do write this kind of email, I cant believe it myself either *_*
But surprisingly, I got his reply as below a day later.

--- xxx wrote:

Hi xxx, I remember that i have borrowing money from you before. But as my memory, i wanna borrow RM200 from you but the end you only borrow me RM100 only. can you recap back.

Anyway, give me your account no, i bank in for you.

thank you

Oops... Obviously I have a bad memory clouded by emotion, and my friend has a better memory than mine. What a shame "p

Anyway, since he replied, at least I know that he still remember. Is a good thing, at least I felt appreciated and my help last time wasn't in "vain"

And since he is determined to clear the debt, I will reply him on my account number later, and see how it goes.

But am not sure how will our friendship like in the future, because the first topic that we talk about after many years of not seeing each other is debt instead of the normal usual "how are you doing?" *_* So, debt between friends is a bad thing isn't it?

Really long time didn't see this guy, but will always treat him as a friend.

OOB

*********************************************************************************************
small talk:-
a bit irregular for my blog posting, right? Not that I am running out of topic, but because I was occupied at work. One of my colleague was on leave for his wedding over the weekend. So, have to cover him as well as complete my tasks before I am on leave too. Rushing this and that, therefore my mood aint that good either. Apology to my another colleague for having to deal with antsy me today. Sorry ya, am feeling guilty now...
Besides, I had to do a presentation this morning for a potential customer. This is like the 2nd time I did customer presentation. The first one was in Beijing, where I have to use an english written foil and then present it in Mandarin, what an experience...
For today's presentation, I did not that good either, because of inexperience. I just sit and presented, while it will be better if I stand up and used my body language. This is a f/b from my manager. Anyway, is a learning. Will take note of this and will try that next time =)
**********************************************************************************************

Another SIALTUA acronym =)

OOB == Out Of Blog

adopted from OOP (Out Of Plant) or OOO (Out Of Office). Creative or not, kekeke...

Well, I will be away from blogging over the weekend until Monday. Heading down KL this weekend attending my colleague's wedding dinner. After that, will spend another day in Genting =)

Till then.

QingMing

Do you know that "Tomb Sweeping Day" or "Clear Brightness Festival" is the most common English translation of QingMing Festival? I kid you not, I just knew about it too a while back, and is written in Wikipedia here.
For a simpler summary about QingMing, read below.

One major event in the Chinese calendar, observed by Chinese communities all over the world is All Souls Day, also known as Cheng Beng or Qing Ming, which falls on April 5 every year except on leap years when it falls on April 4.

During this period, the Chinese community will visit graves of deceased family members and ancestors to pay their respects. It can be done 10 days before and after the actual date of Cheng Beng. Graves are weeded and cleaned, joss-paper is burnt, and offerings are made.
(sourced from here ...)

With that being said, today is QingMing Festival day, falls on 4th of April in leap year 2008.

Like every other year, it is very common thing now to see NEW "product" made of joss-paper sold for the festival. In the past, we have seen handphone, ferrari, laptop, tv, fridge etcetra etcetra.
And while driving down the city street today for lunch, me and my colleagues spotted 2 newest additions to the joss-paper offering =) Pretty interesting, because they now have LV bags series and sexy bikini series sold o_o
So, what is next for next year? Any guess?

On personal note, this year, my parent decided to skip the ancestor's grave visiting and will only hold a small prayer at home. It will be a simple one this year.

catching up

First of all, Happy New Year 2008!!!

How was the first day of 2008 to most of you? Hope that it has been great, as mine was great :)

Well, it is about time to do some catching up. Life has been like a marathon for me for the past few weeks. It was eventful yet busy month to end 2007. However, I do realized that some great moment pass by in a glimpse and move on to the next one, too fast until I cant even catch my breath to fully mesmerize those moments. Just a thought in my mind.

So, where should I start? I think I will start with the latest events in the past week. However, again I have to delay the Beijing posting, as it will be a long post and time is constrained right now. Need to rest early for work tomorrow.Thousands of forgiveness from you all ya. Dont be dissapointed, k? Patient will be fruitful :)

Remember the handsome young chap who was borned on 23 September 2007? Well, I went to visit him and his parent today :)

Chin Khai Juen
3months old Juen said "who is this UNCLE taking my photo???" >_<

As for new year eve, I spent time having a fine dinner with a good friend of mine and his family @ Kampachi Equatorial Hotel. Both of his sons grew up a lot, and very active too. Happy to play with them :)

Photobucket
Yu trying his best post for New Year eve :)

Photobucket
Another one, Ultraman Tiga post :)

So, as you can see, my new year eve and new year has been surrounded by adorable kids. Indeed great moments :)

And for last weekend, I attended my uni-friends wedding @ KL/Temerloh. I knew both the bride and bridegroom. After we graduated, it has been almost 6yrs since I last saw them. The bridegroom still a gentleman and the bride still as cool as she was. Both of them give me a feeling of "peace" :) Although the traveling has been tiring, am happy to see them again and now moving on to their next chapter in their life. Wishing them happy family life ahead :)

for real?

pinch me pinch me pinch me
bite me bite me bite me
slap me slap me slap me >_<

I know some of you want to slap me for a while already, now is the chance :p come find me :p

Anyhow, this is the real deal, I couldnt believe it too... Tomorrow I am flying!!! The furthest I will go from the place i am borned.
How does it feel? well, i totally cant sit still, busy this busy that, buy this buy that, pack this pack that, arrange this arrange that, do this do that, bla bla bla. Trying to tire myself for today so that i would have a soundly sleep tonight. On the contrary, also hope that i could wake up early in the morning >_<

I will be traveling alone this time for work. Will be meeting a partner representative in China and he will bring me around to customer place. I got everything ready, just lack of one thing... Can anyone find my "confident"? I tried to read and prepare to meet custoer for meeting, presentation etc, but could get far with such a limited time, blame me for not reading much about sales and product info in detail, just work work work in the normal working day. I just hope that i could cope with *ahem... bluff* the customer >_<

Tomorrow is the begining of a new chapter for me. While I am away, would like to wish everyone here merry xmas, happy new year and happy holiday ahead :) Till then

and about time

Yup, I think it is about time for me to make a statement, about a good thing that going to happen to me, like a dream come true at last after years of waiting, and the perfect event to happen to close 2007 :) I am just happy to be befall with such sudden gift

NoNoNoNo... I am not in love, nor I am becoming rich (i wish!!! remember my wallet still hurting?)

Well, the thing is, I am going for a business trip to Beijing this Sunday. Yup, many of you would finally say out loud "AT LAST!!!" with me. And i am sure many of you would say "its about time that we can stop hearing all the whining from this fella!". Well, you are absolutely wrong!!! I am happy that it is about time i get to travel, but you will still hear me cursing the singh and intel :p:p:p

Anyhow, lets not make this post become a usual "cursing" one. Not that I want to boast about this trip of mine, because it is not even really confirm yet, as my visa application still in process. What if it cant make it on time? Lets hope not. To some of you, it may not a big deal, because going there is just to work. And believe me, the itinerary is quite pack too. Besides, it is freezing cold there right now. At work, i am sure I will stumble with roadblocks, and my patient will be tested with all the customer demands. Well, it is the experience that i am anticipating for, even if bad is much greater than good. It is just part of the learning experience, to which the freaking intel cant provide. 4 yrs you know, 4 fxxking freaking years. At last, final wish come true by this year, and is a good start to more to come before my interest running out of steam when i am a 30yrs old fella. Why? Reasonably, just want to be close to place that i am familiar with and close to familiar people around me.

So, me have been busy preparing for the trip at work, and been shopping like wanting to be broke for the trip. Counting down to Sunday :) And if I do get to go, I will be back to Penang again on the very night of xmas eve :)

Btw, I got myself a new Sony digicam. So, brace yourself with lots of weirdo photos :)

Gotta crash again, till next post

calling it a weekend

Yawnnn...... Sleepy now, writing a short post before calling it a weekend.
Just came back from another friend's wedding dinner at BM. The environment was nice, the food was nice, the crowd was nice, the bridegroom is happy, the bride is beautiful and I am full (hehe, the last one is the most important)
However, traffice was a nuisance. For instance, the normal max 20 minutes crossing the bridge has become an hour journey. Anyhow, weird thing happens. While we (me and Ah Beng) stuck at the toll for almost 30mins, we notice a guy was walking along the road to the toll. We didnt care much about it then and chat along. Then again after we pass the toll and was driving along the first quarter of the bridge, to our surprise, we saw the same guy running along the bridge. We were like "wat de..." when we passed him. It was almost middle of the night, the guy was wearing like he came from a dinner and it is most certainly not Penang Bridge Run yet. Really not sure what is the guy's agenda. But later, pity the guy too and we could help also like giving him a ride because we already way passed him. Think again, one scary speculation is that that the guy might be going to suicide, as Penang Bridge is well-known for that too. Well, hope that nothing happen. Gotta crash. Adios.

burn

Yeah, I totally admit that I am evil when the topic about "intel" is raised, and I am just plain stubborn about it.

Why am I evil? Because whenever I heard something bad happen at intel or to intel, especially PDC and especially the singh, the magnitude of jubilant is INFINITY.

For instance, the news about a car burning at intel car park this morning has set the adrenaline gushing into my system. While I am happy, my mind alertly speculating. Might be the stupid and bad decision made by the higher management for removing the stationary security guard and replacing with mobile patrol (whom I never saw one when I roam there oftenly using its facility). Or might be someone drank too much yesterday at PDC night and somehow has offended someone or had an affair that resulted in burning revenge. Or might be just a plain stupid person that doesnt maintain their property. No matter what the reason is, it is just some/many of the more evil than me stupid idiot black sheeps in intel that do exist there that make intel such a damn good place that I couldnt resist to resign.

Why am i stubborn? Because the period of imbalance, hurting and finding the many reasons why but not able to make a difference (all because of the one and only person i hate most - the singh) had shaped and etched who I am today. No way a bad ROM can be erased.

With the current status, intel malaysia is well on it's course towards a "better" place. Looking forward to that if a life time is already enough.

held

"Most of us has experienced the death of our love one,
or we watched somebody that we know or love,
experienced the pain of losing somebody that they love...

Maybe this is even happening to some of you right now,
or to somebody that you know in your circle of your friends,
at school or at work, maybe inapproriate...

My friend Christa Well wrote this song,
after she had lost two people very dear to her in the span of 48 hours...

I recorded this song,
in the prayer and hopes that it'll bring comfort to a lot of people...

The first time I heard it...
honestly it just made me to tears...

Christa found a lot of comfort in it's message,
and my prayer and hope is that you will too."

- Natalie Grant -

Very recently, I was struggling with mix feeling for a couple of time in a single short span of moment. For a moment, I was in a very good mood. But the next moment you know, you have no reason to be happy...

While I share the happiness and witnessed the union of many of my friends around me towards a new chapter of their life, I have heard of bad or not so good news about people around me too...

There is one night I got an sms from a uni friend, annoucing her marriage with her husband, whom I know too. I am excited and happy about it, because for ages, I havent seen them and many of friends that probably will be there too.

However, the next early morning, I got another sms that a friend of mine has lost his father... I am totally lost of what to tell or how to respond. Starting the day with a sad news doesnt feel great, but it is insignificant as compared to my friend's feeling. Only until the end of that day, I finally managed to send him a message expressing my condolence...

This post and song are dedicated to Ming Yang who lost his beloved father, and to Coach/Sir Eng who lost his wife fighting cancer...

Two months is too little.
They let him go.
They had no sudden healing.
To think that providence would
Take a child from his mother while she prays
Is appalling.
Who told us we'd be rescued?
What has changed and why should we be saved from nightmares?
We're asking why this happens
To us who have died to live?
It's unfair.
This is what it means to be held.
How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive.
This is what it is to be loved.
And to know that the promise was
When everything fell we'd be held.
This hand is bitterness.
We want to taste it, let the hatred know our sorrow.
The wise hands opens slowly to lilies of the valley and tomorrow.
This is what it means to be held.
How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive.
This is what it is to be loved.
And to know that the promise was
When everything fell we'd be held.
If hope is born of suffering.
If this is only the beginning.
Can we not wait for one hour watching for our Savior?
This is what it means to be held.
How it feels when the sacred is torn from your life
And you survive.
This is what it is to be loved.
And to know that the promise was
When everything fell we'd be held.

weekend

It is just a mere 2 days weekend, but many things in my thought.
Felt guilty for rejecting a friend request to be his "heng dai" on the upcoming Thursday, merely because i felt reluctant to take leave last minute. i understand that i totally let this friend down. As of now, i cant revert what i said, although i felt guilty...
Felt great to be at home yesterday, as i have not been back to home for quite a while.
Felt mildly guilty again ignoring all the work emails flying over here and there, and went straight to reading personal mails and reading blogs. There is a major issue at work, and it is going to be a hectic Monday tomorrow.

Felt momentary relax after playing basketball this evening. After dinner, surprisingly to see the big and bright moon hanging on the night sky. Apparently, it is mid of the month today according to chinese calendar.
Felt worry for a friend who is hundreds of miles away.
Felt tire, and going to sleep soon. Good night -_-
