That is acronym for "Basketball For Unity", a basketball league program embarked by Ozone Event, trying to comercialize and popularize basketball, hopefully will become something like NBA in US.

Old timer like me, after hearing the remuneration that they offer, as well the program that they described, decided to commit to it 3 weeks ago. Since then, i joined 14 other players selected, the youngest was 18yrs old, and the oldest, which is me is 28yrs old (that is where the old timer coined >_<), gone through 6 times of hell like trainings (really tough for me as i am not as fit as i was when 18), and now looking forward to the starting of the whole league... The feeling, can be described like the feeling of taking the plane for the very first time, or the feeling of 1st day at school, full of anticipation, or may be i am just exaggerating :)

Anyhow, am looking forward to the experience that i am going to have. Of course, nothing comes without a price. Along with the package, 3 times training per week during weekdays after work, 2 days tournament over the weekend, venue rotating among Penang, Perak, KL & Melaka, 8 teams competing (Perak, Penang, Melaka, Johor & 4 teams from KL) and last until November. It is going to be a challenging and discipline life, rotating between work, basketball and traveling. Well, this also mean that i will miss all the time with my usual surrounding friends, colleagues & family until November. Lesser movie outing, lesser meal together, lesser outdoor events together, may be lesser blogging... Give and take, hope that after November, i will be welcomed back >_<

Despite the whole lengthy process of agonies that i have to go through yesterday, for lodging police report, for changing all my ATM numbers, for changing all my passwords, for fixing the car, for trying to catch up with work ... i guess i managed to pull through. I am back to www, the only difference is that i have to reset myself to 2 months ago, that is the time i last backup my files and folders.

rumor & critics

Is critic time, as usual, about my be-hated intel, cant escape. To my friends that are still in intel, no offense, just my personal agenda and opinions.

Rumor has it that the Intel Msia MD is stepping down soon, replaced by a US Citizen Indian, probably as part of the "redeployment" or efficiency program. Heard that the US want to have controllability over the site. How true and when is this going to happen? You help verify. To me, hmmm... another radical change, but what will it do to the site. I would say "Yeah, way the go INTEL!!!", for because that you think every move you made is the best move, even though it is the hardest decision. Not sure about the impact, may be good, may be bad, for those who are still in the company, you do the math. And because of that "redeployment", KC is said now searching for a job. Not sure how true is this. Some of you might pity KC, but wait!!! Dont go there too sudden. Dont forget that he would be paid a sum of "compensation" before he got "redeployed", and i am very sure that sum is way more that the salary you had at Intel for whole life.

2nd and the last topic about Intel, tomorrow will be having ICH and BWR celebration dinner. Congrat to the committee that lead by LH for finally make it to the destination, for it because changes the date and venue many many times with delay, and for it because there are a lot of messes along the way, making one of my close friend very unhappy, and this make it very personal to me. My comment is, during the night tomorrow, enjoy yourself, praise yourself that you had created a "platform" that give advantage to Intel (but not you), that you all are the smart bunch, that you all are the best of the best, cream of the cream, top of the top and bla bla bla... For i will be watching "transformer" at cinema at the very same time. For a confident group and majority of you, when you are too confident, and when you hit a solid roadblock in a very very rare circumstances, you will be crippled for it because you are caught off guarded. Mark my words. Enjoy the night for me, for it because that I had my contribution as well toward the project ICH8. To Sarb, remember that you are where you are right now because of your subordinates contributions, and most & majority of the subordinates that i am talking about is not in your group OR not in Intel anymore as of now. Dont ever think that you can get all the credit, you incompetent.

For some of you may say that i still cant get over intel although i have left, i cant deny that because it had impacted my career, which is majority of my life very deeply. How could i forget?!!!

SWAT Champion!

Last Sunday, Alan, me and Chia Jun finally won the first medal for SWAT team, after many years in a few tournaments in Penang. We participated in the Gurney 3on3 basketball challenge just to give it a try, but ended with a reward and a hundred ringgit richer, very happy :)

It is indeed a memorable moment, although got a bit sun burn. Am happy as well because SWAT team now known to other basketball teams in Penang (although we are consider elder people team :p). Yeah :) Thanks guys.

There is another upcoming Nike 3on3 challenge at Gurney on 29 July, but I am not able to participate since I have another tournament to attend to. But I hope that the rest of the SWAT member would step up and represent SWAT. All the best ya :)
